Construction management

Our Construction Management approach is designed to provide flexibility and value for money throughout a project. We begin in the design stage where we input valuable advice on constructability and take advantage of selected sub contactor expertise. Our involvement continues through all stages until close-out and handover.
At CEL, our objective is to ensure we meet our clients’ aspirations in the most cost-effective way. To do this, we ensure that the best input is obtained from relevant experts and from sub-contractors in a close working relationship with our clients, together with good planning and accounting for procurement constraints such as long lead time items. Such teamwork not only uses the best resources, but also ensures all members of the project team are highly motivated and focused.
For a successful project, we concentrate on eight core activities, during which our construction managers have an input:
- concept and definition input
- team management
- supply chain relationships
- information management and commissioning
- risk management
- innovative and continuous improvements
- effective project implementation
- performance measurement.
Key to our successful implementation are careful planning and positive relationships in a team environment. We go to great lengths to understand the nuances of complex interactions within the build sequence risks and health and safety issues, particularly in refurbishments of live production facilities.
