Upgrades to Romelag blow, fill, seal suites

CEL’s long relationship with Boehringer led to them being requested to assist in upgrading the HVAC and chilled water systems for nine Romelag blow fill seal suites.
The site’s production area clean rooms are validated to European and US Pharmacopoeia standard ranging from Grade A (class 100) to Grade D (class 100,000) environments.
CEL responsibilities
- HVAC analysis and re-engineering design
- Site utilities analysis and re-engineering design
- Construction management
- Special airflow simulations
- Validation support (IQ and OQ)

- Flexibility of programme to accommodate full production demands
- Work had to carried out within very short windows of opportunity
- Airflow simulation testing to achieve improvements in critical room and machine airflow patterns
- Site utility upgrade (chiller, steam and building management system)
